Data policy
Off The Record will be pleased to bring you news of events,
services and support which are either created by us or which we
think will be of relevance and interest to young people and youth
service providers. There will be no more than one
communication per month to subscribers.
Our communications will be topical to young people and support
Off The Record's vision:
- To provide a broad range of accessible, responsive,
imaginative, flexible, inclusive and effective support services for
vulnerable children, young people and young adults from all
communities
- To identify and represent the needs of children, young people
and young adults and to encourage service providers and policy
makers to take account of those needs
The Data Protection Act 1998 governs Off The Record's processing
of personal data. The Act requires that any personal data held
should be:
- processed fairly and lawfully;
- obtained and processed only for specified and lawful
purposes;
- adequate, relevant and not excessive;
- accurate and kept up to date;
- held securely and for no longer than is necessary; and
- not transferred to a country outside the European Economic Area
unless there is an adequate level of data protection in that
country.
In adherence with The Act, Off The Record will process personal
data as follows:
- The information you give us is only used for the purpose for
which it was requested
- The data is kept in a secure database
- Off The Record will not share this information with others
unless we ask you and you expressly give permission, or under
special circumstances, such as when Off The Record believes in good
faith that the law requires it
- You can unsubscribe at any time by emailing info@offtherecordcroydon.org
following the link which is shown at the bottom of the newsletter
and in your confirmation email. Your details will be automatically
removed from our database
