ABOUT US "Off the Record" was established in 1994 and consisted of a small counselling service. Since then we have consistently continued to grow, expanding and developing new services that address the issues that young people face in the current climate. We currently comprise of 3 well established services and are in the process of piloting 2 new ones. Our motivation is to meet young people in their place of need and support them into a place to well being. OUR CORE BELIEFS We all have a right to be heard, to be treated with respect and to be valued. We all have the potential skills and abilities we need to live healthfully and lead a fulfilling life. It is good to talk and potentially healing to be listened to. OUR MISSION STATEMENT We aim to: provide a range of free, confidential, professional youth support services for young people up to 26 years of age in the Croydon area. represent and raise awareness of the needs of young people both within Croydon and at a national level. We will achieve this by offering: a safe, friendly and accessible environment in which young people can feel respected, supported and empowered. a positive commitment to working with the diversity of groups in the whole community through actively developing policies and practices which enable real equality of opportunity. services which are consistently monitored. an innovative and flexible approach towards meeting the identified needs of the local community through a team of paid and volunteer staff working in partnership with voluntary and statutory services and the local community. |
