Our services
When I came here I was feeling suicidal. I felt like I was losing it but at Off The Record I began to feel differently...
Counselling
Who we are:
The counselling service is a free, confidential service for
young people aged 14-25 living, working or studying in Croydon.
What we do:
Counselling is a confidential
space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, beliefs or
experiences over a period of time with the support of a trained
listener. It is a friendly and non-judgemental space in which to
get to know and understand yourself better in a safe
environment.
What do we believe:
At times life can be difficult and it can feel hard to cope on
your own. When this happens we can feel lots of different feelings
- sad, scared, hopeless or angry. We believe that it's okay to ask
for support at a time like this and that with some support
you might be able to find your own answers.
At Off the Record we believe that you, not the counsellor, are
the expert on yourself. Counselling can support you in
finding your own way forward, helping you to develop your potential
and feel more able to deal with life's challenges.
Making the first call:
If you're feeling a bit unsure about making the first call, you
find out more about what will happen when you get in touch by clicking
here. When you contact Counselling we'll give
you a bit of information about the service, talk through what you
can expect to happen next as well as invite you to come along to
one of our open sessions.
